2018 New Bonner Directors & Coordinators Orientation
July 29 - August 1 @ Princeton, NJ
Each summer we host a three day meeting in Princeton, New Jersey as an introduction to the Bonner Program and the resources of the Bonner network.
This meeting provides a thorough overview of the history, vision, and operational details for managing a Bonner Program and integrating it into campus-wide civic engagement courses and programming.
New Bonner coordinators, directors, or other staff at current Bonner schools who will be closely connected to their Program are expected to attend.
We also invite staff and faculty at prospective schools evaluating the possibility of developing a Bonner Program to attend the meeting. If you can only attend one day, we generally suggest attending the Monday sessions.
The Orientation for New Bonner Directors and Coordinators is held in Princeton, New Jersey on the campus of the Princeton Theological Seminary.
Below is a tentative agenda for the 2018 New Directors and Coordinators Orientation. See campus below for location of the Bonner Foundation (10 Mercer Street), lodging at the Princeton Seminary Conference Center (20 Library Place), and our meeting space in Scheide Hall (Gambrell Room).
Registration is $375 per person and covers room and meals for the three nights and days at the Princeton Theological Seminary Conference Center.
UPDATE: July 9, 2018 — On-campus housing has been filled. Please contact Bonner Foundation to discuss options (and the lower registration fee).
The deadline for registration is Friday, July 15, 2018.
NOTE: If you prefer to stay off campus, the registration fee will be $180.
Additionally, If you are considering bringing members of your family, please reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org directly with additional details and questions. We do have two family suites available.
Travel and Logistics
The address for the Princeton Theological Seminary (PTSEM) is 64 Mercer St, Princeton, NJ 08542. You can find travel directions on their website here.
The PTSEM Erdman Conference Center for those staying on campus is located at 20 Library Place, Princeton, NJ.
The address for the Bonner Foundation is 10 Mercer Street, Princeton, NJ 08540.
We strongly recommend that you fly into Newark Airport since the public transportation from there is far easier for you than from Philadelphia (which takes you as far as Trenton, where you'll have to catch another train that takes you into Princeton Junction and then take another small train (the Dinky) into Princeton.

We are often able to provide housing at the Princeton Theological Seminary's Erdman Retreat Center. This is the recommended housing choice since all our meetings will be held on campus. However, we may have limited rooms available here. Participants will be given housing here based on the order we receive registration. All rooms at Erdman will have shared bathrooms with only one other participant. For all three days, which includes room and board, the cost was $375 in 2017. We will determine the availability and cost of Erdman Retreat Center accommodations later this Spring semester. This will be billed to you by the Bonner Foundation after the meeting has concluded.
