Our Host

Macalester College will host Thursday and Friday’s conference events. Learn more about community-based research at Macalester by visiting their Civic Engagement Center website. The site also offers information about the surrounding community and Macalester’s community partners, some of whom will be featured during the conference.

Cost

These details may change, but based on the initial subgrantee conference last fall, we should have funding in the national budget to pay for the lodging and meals for three people from each of the original 20 subgrantee campuses and two people from each of the 11 innovation subgrantee campuses for Thursday and Friday nights.

This figure is based on double-occupancy. Since we know many people will want to have singles, we've arranged with the hotel to bill you for the additional cost for those who would prefer a single room.

We will also ask you to pay for a fourth person if you choose to bring one. Due to meeting space considerations, we ask that you limit your campus team to four people.

Each subgrantee campus will be responsible for their own travel expenses and can use subgrantee grant funds or matching funds for this purpose, as well as the additional costs for room & lodging at the hotel.

Please note that community partners are welcome to attend the conference, and some additional funding is available to those partners presenting with their academic partners in conference sessions. This funding is available on a competitive basis; if you are interested, please contact Denise Keller at dkeller@princeton.edu or (609) 258-9750.
