Bonner Student Congress Fall Meeting
The College of New Jersey • Ewing, NJ
October 20-22, 2006

This year's Bonner Student Congress Fall Meeting will be held Friday, October 20 through Sunday October, 22 at The College of New Jersey in Ewing, NJ. Over this summer, Bonner student interns and Congress Reps developed the Agenda.

Click here to view the agenda, register, and access logistical and other information.

Key Goals:

  • Build relationships, community, and our network: through workshops, planning, and social time, Bonner Congress Representatives, staff, and partner representatives will have the chance to build relationships, strengthen knowledge and skills, and envision the future.
  • Prepare for a great year: Reps will have a chance to prepare for the many roles of Reps, plan their own work and take home ideas, connections, and skills from a range of elective workshops that address many different projects.
  • Forge individual agendas and common visions through Action Teams. Through engaged teamwork, Bonner Congress Representatives will identify ways they want to expand and integrate:
    • Student Voice and Leadership
    • Academic and Policy Connections
    • The Common Commitments, especially a focus on Diversity with the Diversity & Learning Conference
    • The Bonner Network, including relationships betweeen campuses and with the Foundation
    • Global Challenges and themes like poverty, the Living Wage, and more

Through lots of planning and meeting time, Congress Reps can create their own campus’s and broader agendas for 2006-07.

Over this summer, Bonner student interns and Congress Reps developed the following agenda. We still need your involvement. We are looking for Action Team Leaders and people to present workshops. If you are interested, please contact Charlotte Collins at charlotte@bonner.org.

Also 15-20 Congress Reps will attend the Diversity & Learning Conference in Philadelphia instead. To be selected, you must complete a brief application (responses to 3 questions) and be recommended by your Director/Coordinator. Click on the tab at the left. These Congress Reps will attend pieces of the meeting.
