You should submit your application to the Foundation early
in the spring semester. This will give the Foundation ample
time to review your application and respond, providing you
and the Foundation both with time enough for early planning.
What happens if my proposal is
accepted?
Once your application is accepted, it is important that you
continue communicating with the Foundation through the remainder
of the semester to ensure that all arrangements are made prior
to your arriving in Princeton.
When do Interns begin/end work?
Summer Interns are encouraged to begin their work directly
proceeding the end of the school year. This enables Interns
to play a role in the planning and implementation of the SLI/All-Bonner
Service Event. Interns work with the Foundation for seven
weeks in the summer, a total of 280 hours. Bonner Leaders
have the option of working five weeks for 200 hours. Interns
work daily from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m., with an hour provided
for lunch.

in Princeton, NJ. There are opportunities throughout the summer
for work-related travel as well, depending on your course
of work.
Where do Interns live?
Summer Interns of the Bonner Foundation live on the Princeton
University Campus, in summer co-ed dorms. This living arrangement
includes kitchen, bathroom, single room and access to laundry
facilities.
Why does the Foundation have Interns
in the summer?
Summer Interns provide a student voice
at the Foundation during the summer. Students are diligent
and responsible workers, self-motivated and truly interested
in the long-lasting success of the Bonner Program. Interns
work alongside the President and other Foundation Staff, providing
a diverse body of organizers, ensuring that the connection
is maintained between the Bonner Foundation and campus programs.
