Bonner Foundation
Summer Internship Guidelines
Each year, the Bonner Foundation welcomes
summer interns to its main office in Princeton, NJ. Internships
last a minimum of 200 hours for Bonner Leaders or 280 hours
for Bonner Scholars. Applicants must be current students at
(or immediate graduates of) a Bonner Program affiliated school.
Bonner Scholars and Bonner Leaders are encouraged to apply.

Interns must submit a proposal for the
work he/she will engage in during his/her time at the Foundation.
Review the website to see where your interests and talents
intersect with current Foundation programs. Examples of potential
projects include enhancing the Bonner Partners program, developing
trainings for Bonners, or collecting Bonner Program resources.
Applicants interested in working on the
Bonner Congress project must be a current Congress Representative
will continue his/her term into the next year. Bonner Congress
interns will develop the agenda for the fall Bonner Congress
meeting, explore potential resources for Congress Representatives,
and enhance the overall structure of the Bonner Congress.
Your internship proposal should cover the
following areas, as outlined below:
A. Objectives:
State the outcome of the project work completed. What will
you have accomplished?
B. Goals:
What are the goals of the project? How will your project
enhance the Foundation program on which you would focus?
C. Project Timeline and
Narrative:
Create a weekly project timeline, including weekly goals
and objectives. Be sure to note any potential trips. In
your project narrative, describe your project. Also discuss
how this internship connects with both your Bonner Program
experience. Describe how the internship will enhance your
personal and professional development.
