How Partners Get Involved
- Summer Internships: Scholars receive
a service stipend towards tuition for their internship work,
but the Bonner Foundation would like to work with your organization
to see how this stipend could be supplemented. Most organizations
offer additional wages, however, free or reduced housing,
food, or transportation expenses could supplement their
stipend as well.
- Become involved in the training curriculum:
Each campus coordinates training's in both personal and
skill development for Bonner Scholars. Partner organizations
would be invited to participate in these trainings as well
as asked to conduct trainings where applicable.
- Become involved in Bonner Alternative
Break Projects: Most schools sponsor week long service
projects outside their local community.
- Meetings and Retreats: The Bonner
Foundation will host a meeting and a retreat with our Partners
to gain input from you regarding ways in which to make the
Partners Program successful and viable to your organization.
- Distribute materials: Both the
Foundation and the scholar could act as a conduit for your
materials to the Bonner Scholars Programs and students on
the campuses.
- Recruit Bonner Scholars upon their
graduation: Bonner Scholars graduate from college with
a strong resume which demonstrates both their multi-service
experiences as well as their advanced leadership skills.
- Recruit high school students or
individuals with a GED to attend any of the 27
colleges participating in the Bonner
Scholar Program.
