Colleges with a Bonner Scholars or Bonner
Leaders Program may submit applications to the Corella and
Bertram F. Bonner Foundation for a Micah 6 Partnership Grant.
Proposals for new and renewed projects are due June 30th of
each year. Awards are made each summer for the upcoming academic
year.
Goal of the
Bonner Foundation's Micah 6 Partnership:
Inspired by the challenge of Scripture in
Micah 6, the goal of the Bonner Foundation’s Micah 6
initiative is to give support and guidance to college programs
in developing partnerships with local congregations that engage
students in social justice, service, and spiritual enrichment.
Each Micah 6 Bonner Partnership is intended
to:
- Develop a partnership between a Bonner-supported
college and a local congregation, engaging students and
the congregation in shared community ministry:
- Identify issues of justice and injustice
in the shared community;
- Design and pursue a project of direct
service and social justice;
- Engage students in a process of spiritual
reflection in the context of service and social justice.
Amount of Bonner funding for each Micah 6
Partnership:
$5,000 for a one-year project.
Micah 6 Workshops:
Micah 6 consultations or brief workshops
are held in June at the annual Bonner Summer Leadership
Institute. An additional Micah 6 workshop or training event
