Background
CORPS DATABASE MODULES
Based on your notion of programming distinct modules for the Framework site, the CORPS Network website will consist of two major modules:
- basic CORPS Database module for policy news, research & resources
- advanced CORPS Database module for constructing issue briefs (which will include "planning trees" for proposed solutions).
The CORPS Network websites will take advantage of many, if not all, of the originally proposed modules (e.g., FAQ, registration, courses, projects, discussion list). However, the originally proposed modules for news, resources, calendar, and feature stories should not be mistaken for the CORPS database modules with the same names. The distinction is that these original modules will be used for the descriptive web pages for each site (e.g., news about the local CORPS Network organizing efforts, calendar of outreach events organized by the host campus, and feature stories that might describe activities of the local campus efforts to start the local CORPS affiliate web site). None of these are directly part of the CORPS database module on policy related news, research, and resources.

To improve planning and decision-making for all individuals, organizations, and communities by establishing a global network of affiliated community information bureaus that provide the information non-profit and government agencies need to more effectively carry out their missions.
