Could you give me some further explanation on these fields. What kind of information you expect them to hold, and how it will be used. Are they optional? (These are from the news screen.)

These have to do with the "location" of the site (eg: NJ, Trenton, USA) and the "level" of the information (Federal, state, local, neighborhood). I think what I was getting at was that it would be useful if any "reporter" from any level/location could input information for the level/location "above" them (eg, Trenton reporter input state or Federal/national).

I would like the option of adding graphics to entries.

Different news items have specific identifier codes (e.g., public laws use PL-##-###, regulations have their own, etc.). People will want to search off of these. We could make the field lable context sensitive (i.e., change based on the type of news item entered), but that might be too tricky for now. However, this identifier is relatively important so we don't want to ignore it or get bad data entered if we can help it.

The issue areas are listed in the mock-ups will grow and there will also be new sub-issue areas defined as sub-sets within them. We cannot possibily define every minor issue area ahead of time. I'm not sure how to handle this. Should we have a keywords entry field? Should we somehow allow these to be proposed and approved by editors, and build the list that way?
