Page Design :
Web page layouts
These pages represent mock-ups of the final output pages. They aren't correct in terms of color scheme but the navigation locations is a good starting point.
News section
This mock-up for the NEWS section shows the issue areas on the left sidebar and the types of news across the top. There are other ways to display the intersection of this information (i.e., issue area & type of news & level of news item) that we can discuss.
Note: we'll want a "home" page for News (not shown below) that would display a selection of News-related items (we can talk about the criteria later).
Research section
Similar to the News Section, the Issue areas could be listed on the left side bar and the types of research information (per issue area) across the top. Again, I've grouped the research items by level (Local, State, National). This might not be the best way to display this information; we can discuss this more.
As for the didsplay of each entry, they would differ by type:
- for the Issue Overviews would be different by level so perhaps we would show the overview for the level (site) the user is accessing (local if they've logged into the Trenton site, but state if they've logged into the New Jersey level site).
- Policy Options would be the same for all levels
- CBR Papers, Data, and Orgs & People would be sorted by level as shown below.
Note: we'll want a "home" page for Research (not shown below) that would display a selection of Research-related items (we can talk about the criteria later).
Resources section
The Resources section doesn't use issue areas as it's primary way of categorizing information since the "resources" listed are mostly related to managing non-profit organizations. At this point, the sub-categories across the top of the page (e.g. Local Scene, Trends, etc.) are also how we will divide the page itself since the local vs state vs national distinction isn't so important here. That may mean we'll want to re-think somewhat how we display this page.
Note: we will also need "Home" page (not shown below) that displays a selection of entries.
