II. Other suggestions/observations
A. Links to the program:
- The links to community service/enagement should be easy
to find from the campus home page. Too often you cannot
find either a general link or the Bonner Scholars Program
link from the Student Life section of the site.
- The Bonner Scholars Program is typically embedded in
the broader campus-wide community service center
- A link to the program should also appear in the Financial
Aid section of the school's website
B. Content ideas
- BSP content should be updated at least annually
- Add content cut & paste or link to articles on service
& BS found in your campus alumni magazine or school
paper
- Recruit students (preferably Bonner Scholars) to maintain
content
- Note that you may want different students to handle
webpage design/programmer and content/editorial responsibilities
since they often are quite different skills sets
C. Design ideas
- Clearly label sub-sections of your site
- Break the Bonner Programs topics into separate web pages
if single page becomes too long
- Design page using campus-wide website template if possible
to maintain common "look & feel"
III. Sample Bonner Program Websites
- Campus wide centers
- Financial Aid Scholarships
