Hour Logs
Members in Bonner Foundation-sponsored programs are required to record their service and training hours in BWBRS. The hour log form is designed to enter service hours that took place on specific days and for specific activities.
In turn, BWBRS can:
- generate printed hour log reports that should be signed by the members and their site supervisors before being submitted to the campus advisor for approval;
- generate summary reports for both the members and the campus advisor that allow them to track progress and analyze service and training activity;
- provide reports for Bonner AmeriCorps members that document the service and training hours that have been
- entered by the member,
- approved by their campus advisor,
- received by the Bonner Foundation, and
- ultimately entered into the official Corporation for National Service website for AmeriCorps members reporting.
We suggest that members be required to log-in their hours on at least a weekly basis, but there’s no reason why they shouldn’t be encouraged to log-in their hours on a daily basis since it is so convenient (and for most students they’ll be on the web on a daily basis anyway).
