Printing Hour Log Reports
Your members should generate a hardcopy of their time logs to be signed by their site supervisor. Even if they choose to use a hardcopy hour log form that you provide them to document their hours, the Bonner Foundation still requires that they log their hours into BWBRS.
The Reporting sidebar button brings up a report screen.
In the Report Options section of this page you set the time period for the report.
The default selection is to "Shows hours in the Entire Semester." If you change the option using the pull down menu, make sure to click on the "Update" button to the right. The options now include monthly, bi-weekly, and weekly (as shown below) which should help for students in programs that have more frequent reporting periods.
This section also contains information on the students enrollment type (on the left) and, if they are in AmeriCorps, their official CNS hours based on receipt of hour logs by the Bonner Foundation.
The "Notify" button is for the Foundation's use in notifying a campus to approve hour logs for AmeriCorps members only.
The example below shows the March 2006 Hour Log Report in the screen view:
There are a couple of things to note about the screen report above:
- Hours are separated by Service vs. Training & Enrichment Activity.
- Hours are sub-totaled by week.
- Hours that do not qualify for AmeriCorps are identified by an asterisk (*) to the right of the title on each line.
- At the bottom of the form (for students enrolled in Bonner AmeriCorps only), the hours are totaled for AmeriCorps members separately in case the student has hours that do not qualify for AmeriCorps.
- The right two columns are not yet active but they will allow you as the campus administrator to indicate those hours that you have received signed time logs for and then for the Bonner Foundation staff to indicate what signed time logs have been received.

or else use the "Print this page" button in the left sidebar.
The printable version of the time log report includes:
- the school name, member’s name, and today’s date in a box at the top of the page,
- the detailed listing of hours grouped by type (without the approval columns), and
- signature lines for the student, the site supervisors for each of their active CLAs, and the campus administrator. As you’ll see below, the signature lines for the site supervisors are included for the specific service sites where the student is doing service and has an official Community Learning Agreement. This allows the same form to be used for all the student’s hours for that month, rather than have to print out separate hour reports for each service site.
Note: site supervisor signatures are only needed for the students service sites where they have Community Learning Agreement, which are only needed for their primary service sites (defined as the service sites where students engage in regular, on-going service).
Also, please note that the Hours Log Report distinguishes between all service and training hours and those that are qualified for AmeriCorps. It uses the input from the Administrative Settings found at the bottom of each Service Opportunity and Training & Enrichment profile page.
