Allegheny Bonner Danielle Aira Savellano Selected for Prestigious Public Policy & International Affairs Fellowship

Danielle Aira Savellano, a Bonner Scholar majoring in Biology and double minoring in Computer Science and Global Health Studies at Allegheny College, was recently selected for the prestigious Public Policy and International Affairs Fellowship. As a 2024 fellow, Danielle will be participating in the data analytics track for the Junior Summer Institute in Carnegie Mellon University - Heinz College of Information Systems and Public Policy.

Danielle was also accepted for a Masters in Science in Health Care Analytics at Carnegie Mellon University - Heinz College of Information Systems and Public Policy, a Bonner graduate school partner. As a Bonner, Danielle is guaranteed a minimum of $30,000 scholarship and as a PPIA fellow, she receives 100% tuition scholarship for CMU Heinz her graduate studies at CMU’s Heinz College.

After receiving the news of her acceptance into PPIA and CMU Danielle said, “I am grateful for this chance to continue my commitment to service.”

This summer, 149 fellows will participate in the PPIA Junior Summer Institute -- six weeks of free, rigorous summer programming at one of our six campus parters to prepare them for advanced schooling and careers in public service and leadership in both domestic and global affairs.

PPIA Fellows will receive a stipend to assist with summer travel, food, and other expenses to facilitate their participation in the Junior Summer Institute.
