Mission

The Bonner Foundation's Crisis Ministry Program provides approximately $700,000 annually in grants to religious, community-based hunger relief programs across the country. The mission of the program is to provide food for the hungry while encouraging congregations to build community relationships and strengthen their outreach programs.

The Get SET Afterschool Program of Trenton, NJ serves its youth healthy, delicious meals through the CACFP afterschool at-risk meals program. This federally funded reimbursement program enables afterschool providers to affordably serve youth filling meals, increasing their chances of excelling academically and socially.

The program's focus is on funding the purchase of food for anti-hunger initiatives that are supported by congregations with the involvement of their clergy, are actively involved in addressing the underlying causes of their clients' hunger, and are located in economically and socially disadvantaged communities of the United States.
