THE POWER OF NETWORKS

Bonner graduates continue to make a major social impact long after they graduate from college. A 2010 survey commissioned by the Bonner Foundation indicated that 65% of our alumni had chosen a career in the governmental and non-profit sectors, 80% were volunteering on a regular basis in their community, and more than 90% had voted in the most recent election. The sense of community and common experience endures for a lifetime.

It is unsurprising that many of our alumni are eager to hire current Bonners as interns and future employees and share with them insights into how they made their own successful transition from college to career. Others remain engaged in the Bonner Network by working for organizations that partner with the Bonner Program and remain active by attending Bonner national conferences and sharing their expertise and passion for service.

WAYS TO STAY INVOLVED

There are more than 20,000 talented Bonner Alumni around the world. This is a powerful social capital network for current Bonners as well as older alumni. To help them tap into it effectively, the Bonner Foundation launched the National Bonner Alumni Network in 2018.

BECOME A NATIONAL BONNER ALUMNI ADVISOR

Launched in Summer 2025, National Bonner Alumni Advisors agree to provide coaching to current students. We have organized Advisors into eight Career Sectors to help students make a strong match. You can find a list of Advisors in our Career Connections Initiative pages and at the directory below.

Reach out to Advisors for:

  • Resume review and cover letter support

  • Career advice and graduate school recommendations

  • Informational interviews

For students in the Bonner Program about to reach out to these Advisors, this Student Toolkit provides tips and strategies for current Bonner students to prepare for reaching out to an Advisor.

CONNECT ON LINKEDIN AND SOCIAL MEDIA

Join the Bonner Alumni Network LinkedIn Group to network across our community. You’ll find more than 2,000 Bonner Alumni have already joined. You can also find Bonner Alumni on Facebook, Instagram, and the Bonner Learning Community, our private Bonner platform.
