Reading Partners is a national education nonprofit that engages community volunteers and AmeriCorps service members to support elementary-aged students on their path toward reading proficiency. Our mission is to help children become lifelong readers by empowering communities to provide individualized, one-on-one tutoring instruction with measurable results. AmeriCorp 2024 Open Positions

Attention Alumni - Reading Partners is currently accepting applications for AmeriCorps members to join in January 2024!

During AmeriCorps service, members collaborate with a network of partners to recruit and coach volunteers, support students during and outside of tutoring sessions, work on capacity-building projects, and so much more.

January 2024 service opportunities are until June 2024 and include the following benefits:

  • 6-month living allowance, and an education award of $3,447.50

  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage at no cost to you

  • End-of-year bonus

  • Public transportation reimbursement

  • Opportunities for networking with thousands of service-minded leaders

  • Childcare assistance is available through AmeriCorps for those who qualify

  • You may be eligible for student loan forbearance while serving!

AmeriCorps positions are available in: Baltimore, Colorado, Los Angeles, New York, North Texas, San Francisco Bay Area, Seattle, Silicon Valley, South Carolina, Tulsa, the Twin Cities, and Washington, DC.

Volunteering Opportunity

Attention Bonners - Volunteer for just an hour a week!

Become a volunteer tutor and empower a student through reading! No previous experience is required, as we provide an easy-to-follow curriculum that includes step-by-step lesson plans.

Anyone who meets our age requirements and actively resides in one of our 12 regions is welcome to sign up!

Join us in-person or online: Depending on the tutoring type available in your region, you can tutor in-person at one of our physical reading centers, or online through Reading Partners Connects. You can learn more by reading through our volunteer description page.
