School for International Training (SIT) is currently accepting applications for SIT Study Abroad’s summer 2025 programs. Students can choose from 22 programs, including three new offerings: Switzerland: Social Impact Internship; Portugal: Sustainability and Environmental Justice; and Italy: Food Cultures and Sustainability, in partnership with Dickinson College. Students can apply today by the April 1, 2025, deadline.
SIT Study Abroad has rolling admissions, with opening and closing dates. Programs can fill before the closing date, and at different rates.
SIT Study Abroad programs are developed around a framework of the most critical global issues (CGIs) of the day. Their programs are interdisciplinary and appropriate for a variety of majors. Most programs address two CGIs within specific cultural and geographical contexts or comparatively across several countries and continents.
As a reminder, SIT also offers an opportunity for Bonner Scholars and Leaders to be eligible for a tuition scholarship towards the semester or summer SIT Study Abroad program(s). SIT will commit to providing the following scholarships for eligible Bonner Scholars and Leaders:
SIT will waive the admission application fee
$2,500 for semester SIT Study Abroad programs
$1,000 for summer SIT Study Abroad programs

For those interested in graduate education, the SIT Graduate Institute also offers Full-Time Global Programs, Part-Time Hybrid Programs—including a Doctorate in Global Education (EdD)—that address today’s most critical issues, such as Climate Change & Global Sustainability, Diplomacy & International Relations, and Intercultural Service, Leadership & Management.
The SIT-Bonner partnership provides to Bonner Scholar and Leader alumni eligibility for a tuition scholarship towards the graduate degree program(s).
SIT will commit to providing the following scholarships for eligible Bonner alumni:
SIT will waive the admission application fee
$7,500 scholarship for Part-Time Hybrid degree programs
$10,000 scholarship for Global Masters degree programs
This partnership will also extend the opportunity for current Bonner Staff (Bonner program/campus staff on campuses and Bonner Foundation staff) to be eligible for a tuition scholarship towards the graduate degree program(s).
