GivingTuesday is a global generosity movement, unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world. It is also the name of the nucleus organization that supports the global movement of 100 countries, hundreds of community, cause, and identity-based movements and coalitions, and many millions of people all over the world committed to inspiring and manifesting generosity in the world.
We are seeking a Program Intern for the US + Canada Hub. This person will play a large role in supporting specific projects that will expand the community leader-led network for GivingTuesday in the US and Canada and the reach of GivingTuesday 2024. They will learn the principles of movement building, leadership and capacity building concepts, project management and building outreach and partnership strategies.
The Hub supports over 300 local leaders across the country that work year-round to rally their communities around our mission of expanding generosity in all its forms. The majority of the work for this role will be centered around supporting this leader network. This role will report to the Senior Manager of the US + Canada Hub and work closely with other team members.
The Program Intern will join our team for a 3-month period lasting from June to August. The internship requires approx. 15 hours per week. Hourly pay of $18; college credit available but not required.
Responsibilities
Work with the team to research ideas and gather input from key stakeholders for a new Hub-wide GivingTuesday activation that communities across the country will adopt this November for GivingTuesday 2024.
Build a project plan and execution strategy for the Hub-wide activation, including timeline, resources needed, communications strategy, and means for tracking impact and collecting stories.
Support the Sr. Director with Spark, our youth engagement program. This might entail creating communications/emails, developing materials for programs or activities, and social media management.
Identify and research contacts for webinars, podcasts, and other relevant external events that can help reach Hub goals around extending our reach and elevating our brand.
Identify and research contacts at networked associations, brands that have a “community” following (e.g. Nextdoor, Peloton, Pinterest), and other movements with chapters that we might connect with for activating on GivingTuesday day.
Update (or create new) marketing and outreach materials to reach different stakeholder groups, as well as templates for Hub’s team to support partners and leaders
Research low-lift campaign marketing ideas in different types of communities and build assets and templates for leaders to leverage.
Support Sr. Manager with specific projects that involve the GivingTuesday Data team and the leader communities.

Location and Time Zones
This is a remote, virtual role (no office) and works closely with the US/Canada Hub Senior Director, Senior Manager, and Networks Partnership Associate.
Some collaboration with global team members.
