The Fair Election Center’s Campus Vote Project’s Youth Voting Rights Working Group (YVR) has been holding regular meetings for the last nine years on topics at the intersection of young people, voting rights, election administration, and civic engagement. It is a place for school and campus leaders, students, nonprofit staff, and election officials to gather to share research, policy updates, programmatic lessons learned and strategize about how we build a democracy that meets its newest members where they are and welcomes them.
In 2025 YVR will be shifting the working group schedule to more align with the academic calendar with meetings in February, March, April, September, October, and November. YVR is also excited to launch an interest form for students and practitioners to submit topics they would like to present on. They can’t wait to hear your brilliant ideas and work together to advance and preserve our democracy.
Meetings are held over Zoom on the 4th Friday of the month at 1pm ET.
Next Meeting: Join us to discuss positive engagement strategies for youth and students working with state and local elections officials.
