Reading Partners is a national education nonprofit that engages community volunteers and AmeriCorps service members to support elementary-aged students on their path toward reading proficiency. Our mission is to help children become lifelong readers by empowering communities to provide individualized, one-on-one tutoring instruction with measurable results. Reading Partners is powered by AmeriCorps. We mobilize AmeriCorps members in our 12 regions and national team to recruit and coach volunteers, support students during and outside of tutoring sessions, work on capacity-building projects, and so much more.
We're recruiting for all of our regions except for NY with the following benefits and timeline:
Our current AmeriCorps opportunities are 8 months/1.200 service terms
Most of our roles start in October and are accepting applications until by September 11.
The education award upon completion of service is $4,895
The Mid-year bonus of $375 and an end-of-year bonus of $2,500
Public Transportation reimbursement of $127/month
