Hiring! Lead the Change: AmeriCorps Program Manager in New Jersey

Who We Are:

The New Jersey Coalition to End Homelessness (NJCEH) is a statewide, social impact organization [a 501(c)(3) non-profit] with one goal: to eradicate homelessness in New Jersey. Toward that end, the Coalition will advocate, educate, organize and, if necessary, litigate for emergency and permanent solutions to homelessness. At the Coalition, our plan for improving shelters across the state is two-fold:

  1. Help the policymakers get it right by promoting common sense, proven ideas backed by the wisdom of people on the frontlines of helping the homeless, and people with lived experience of homelessness.

  2. Help the helpers do it right through unprecedented collaboration and support among New Jersey shelters.

To help the helpers get it right, we have created an AmeriCorps program that will change the culture at shelters by enhancing the services that were provided to clients and expanding the shelters’ offerings. We will have 15 full-time AmeriCorps members placed at shelters throughout the state to help shelter clients have everything they need in place to obtain and maintain affordable housing. Your role is vital in creating a meaningful program that is beneficial to both our AmeriCorps participants, the shelters that they serve, and the clients that they work alongside. You will be essential in creating and managing a program that will create meaningful change in homeless shelters in NJ and will serve as an example for shelters nationwide.

What You Will Do:

As the AmeriCorps Program Manager, you will drive the execution of our program from program design and curriculum to member management. Your role is invaluable.

Job Details:

  •  Hybrid role with 1 day a week being in our office in Princeton
