Common Ground USA is the American initiative of Search for Common Ground, the world's largest peacebuilding organization working on the frontlines of conflict around the globe. Common Ground USA works with campus leaders to support dignity, safety, and belonging for all, even and especially in today's polarized times. Spring 2026 Student Journalism Cohort

OPPORTUNITY for Students

Common Ground USA is seeking student journalists for the Spring 2026 cohort of Common Ground Journalism! Selected students will receive six sessions with national and international journalists and peacebuilders, a $200 stipend, a Common Ground Journalism Certificate, and the opportunity to publish in The Fulcrum and/or the Latino News Network. Interested students can apply at bit.ly/commongroundjournalism

Eligibility: Current U.S.-based undergraduate or graduate students enrolled in a journalism program and/or contributing to campus media. Up to 25 journalists will be selected.

Deadlines: Decisions will be sent by January 23.


Spring 2026 Administrator Boot Camp

OpportunitY for Staff & Administrators

Registration is now open for the Spring 2026 Administrator Boot Camp from Common Ground USA! This free national program supports higher ed leaders to navigate campus conflicts with confidence and care. Over six online sessions, participants will learn how to de-escalate crises, turn tough conversations into opportunities for collaboration, and build trust that strengthens long-term resilience. You'll leave with an action plan to support campus cohesion and new connections with peers across the country. 100% of surveyed Fall 2025 participants said that they gained new skills and approaches to manage campus conflict - come find out why.
