We are excited to introduce Notable Narratives, a nonprofit founded in 2020, seeks passionate first-generation, low-income (FGLI) college students to serve as advisors for high school seniors navigating the college application process. The organization has supported over 1,750 FGLI students to date. The flexible advising program begins August 1st, 2025, and interested students can choose their mentee load. You make a difference in the lives of others through a summer-long fellowship including a non-profit internship. You learn about the larger non-profit sector and your role in it- along the way. You intern at an effective non-profit agency for 10 weeks, learning about the industry and mission from inside. Applications due by February 15th.
Get Involved! The Allstate Foundation Youth Action Board Application Open!
Campus Compact announced the launch of The Allstate Foundation Youth Action Board, funded by The Allstate Foundation and hosted by Campus Compact. This board will consist of 30 youth members (ages 18-22) serving staggered one- to two-year terms. Members will lead youth-driven service projects, organize national youth engagement events, advise on pressing issues, and enhance student civic leadership. The Youth Action Board aims to empower young people to serve and improve communities nationwide. Managed by Campus Compact’s Student Engagement Team, this initiative is now accepting applications. Students will be able to apply for The Allstate Foundation Youth Action Board and will receive leadership training, a $4,000 stipend per year, and opportunities to travel and present at national conferences. The inaugural term runs from August 1, 2024, to August 1, 2025. Applications are open through May 31, 2024.
Introducing New Global Partner: The Future Founders Co
The Future Talks, an initiative by The Future Founders Co., offers a 3-month podcast internship program. Open to individuals aged 18-25 worldwide, the program aims to develop sustainability skills and promote global storytelling. Interns must commit 6 hours weekly for 12 weeks. The program includes sessions, live labs, and self-work focused on creating content on environmental and social causes.
MLK Day of Service 2024 End Hunger Challenge
Offered by the Congressional Hunger Center, The MLK Day of Service End Hunger Challenge is an online volunteer opportunity where participants spend 15-30 minutes per day, for five days, learning about solving hunger in the United States. The content includes guided lessons, readings from experts, videos, interactive maps, and a lively discussion forum. By participating, individuals honor Dr. King's legacy of taking action to improve communities across the U.S., expand their network's hunger-fighting potential, gain knowledge about U.S. hunger and learn how to advocate for solutions, increase volunteer hours, and network with other participants through the discussion board.
Announcing the Casey Center for Faith and Community Services University Partnerships
We are excited to share the following opportunity from the Edmundite Missions, based in Selma, Alabama. They are looking to host student groups and also to connect with faculty who might be interested in some of the research projects they have in mind, or perhaps other experiential learning opportunities that would fit a course they are teaching.
