The University of Richmond is now accepting applications for a new Associate Director of Student Engagement and the Bonner Scholars Program in the Bonner Center for Civic Engagement! Through their primary role of directing the Bonner Scholars Program and select student-led initiatives, the ideal candidate will be a dynamic and experienced educator who is able to cultivate student leadership, co-create high-impact educational programming, design civic engagement curricula that align with the CCE’s learning outcomes and values, conduct comprehensive student advising, develop strategic cross-campus partnerships, and foster a culture of collaboration among student and staff colleagues.

Brown University’s Swearer Center invites applicants for the Manager for Community-Engaged Learning.

The Manager for Community-Engaged Learning provides focused management of Swearer Center programs, co-curricular initiatives, community partnerships, and other campus activities related to student learning. The position is responsible for an assigned portfolio of fellowships, programs, initiatives, community partner relationships and/or cohorts of students (with the Bonner Community Fellowship as the primary focus). The position designs and implements programming and systems to support student learning and advising, and plans and facilitates related recruitment, events, and workshops. The Manager advises and mentors undergraduate students through one-on-one sessions and group seminar sessions; facilitates program evaluation and student tracking in collaboration with colleagues across the Center; and represents the Center at student-, faculty-, and community-facing events. The position may include responsibility for new efforts that are developed by the Swearer Center. 

The University of Hawai’i Hilo invites applicants for their Bonner Program Coordinator position within the Center for Community Engagement in the Academic Affairs Division. The position is full-time and expected begin June 2024 or soon thereafter.  

The Congressional Hunger Center has launched the End Hunger Challenge for Volunteers, featuring new resources on food insecurity in the U.S. The challenge spans 5 days and includes daily action steps, but can be completed at one's own pace. Participants who complete the challenge will receive a certificate for 5 hours of service.

Located in Greeneville, TN, Tusculum University’s Center for Civic Advancement invites applicants to serve as the Bonner Leader Program: Graduate Assistant/Bonner Coordinator. The Coordinator is responsible for working with the Bonner Leader Program, a service and leadership-oriented program. The GA position will also be an assistant to the Director and Assistant Director of the CCA with various duties and assignments. The Coordinator also supports various civic engagement and community service activities on campus and in the community.

This is an in-person, on-campus position. Applicants must be accepted into a TU Masters Program: MBA, MAOT, MASA. Tuition is covered by Tusculum University (books and additional fees not included) and a stipend is provided for the duration of the position.

The Bonner Foundation is thrilled to announce an expanded partnership with the School for International Training through their SIT Graduate Institute. SIT Graduate Institute offers Full-Time Global Programs, Part-Time Hybrid Programs—including a Doctorate in Global Education (EdD)—that address today’s most critical issues. This partnership will extend the opportunity for Bonner Alumni and for current Bonner Staff (Bonner program/campus staff on campuses and Bonner Foundation staff) to be eligible for a tuition scholarship towards the graduate degree program(s).

Bonner Scholars/Leaders and Alumni are invited to participate in two upcoming opportunities with Bonner Graduate School Partner, the University of Pennsylvania’s Fels Institute of Government.

Executive MPA (EMPA) Info Session & Meet and Greet: The application deadline for the Fels EMPA program is coming up on April 15 and we encourage Bonner Leaders and Scholars who may be interested in pursuing a graduate degree to apply. We’re hosting a general virtual information session on March 14 and an EMPA-specific virtual “Meet and Greet” on April 2. Bonner alumni receive an application fee waiver and are guarantee a scholarship of at least $15,000 if admitted.

The Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) has announced a new fellowship designed to engage a curated cohort of emerging entrepreneurs. The CGI Fellowship aims to equip them with essential resources and mentorship to develop and execute initiatives tackling pressing global challenges. In the inaugural 2024 year, the CGI Fellowship will choose 25 individuals to develop CGI Commitments to Action- new, specific, and measurable projects dedicated to addressing critical challenges including the climate crisis, global health inequity, and humanitarian crisis.
